August Selection
Variety- Cabernet Franc/Cabernet Sauvignon
Cabernet Franc is widely grown across France, particularly in the Loire Valley, where it varies from light- to medium-bodied with a lively, acidic freshness
Cabernet Sauvignons origins are almost accidental—in 17th century France, Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Franc vines were inadvertently combined. By the 18th century, this new variety had gained popularity.

After nearly three decades working closely with producers in Margaret River, Western Australia, esteemed winemaker Bruce Dukes established Domaine Naturaliste—his own portfolio of highly acclaimed wines.
2020 La Tour Travers Bordeaux Rouge, Bordeaux, France
The 2020 Travers Rouge offers a fantastic, approachable Bordeaux experience for everyday drinking. This blend of predominately Cabernet and Merlot is sourced from 25-year-old vines in the Entre-deux-Mers, located in the heart of Bordeaux.

2021 Domaine du Bel Air Les Vingt lieu dits, Bourgueil, France
Pierre and Rodolphe Gauthier produce some of the most refined and age-worthy Cabernet Franc wines in the Loire. Their winemaking heritage dates back to 1880, shortly after the phylloxera crisis.
2024 Somos Cabernet Franc, McLaren Vale
Mexican winemaker Mauricio Ruiz Cantu is the creative force behind this exciting McLaren Vale project. His focus is on exploring ‘alternative’ varieties from sustainably managed vineyards.

What You Need to Know
How It Works
To make sure customers are kept updated about our findings, every month we send them a two-pack of new wines to try. Both wines in the pack will be made from the same variety of grape but will be from very different parts of the world, allowing customers to compare and contrast their special tastes. To make the learning experience even more comprehensive and exciting, the pack will include informative tasting notes that explore both the grape and the wine.

We can ship around Australia & charge a flat $10 shipping fee. We also only ship when the weather suits. Nobody deserves cooked wine after all!!
