The Pinots produced by Michael Dhillon at Bindi are some of our absolute favourites. The 2019 release has just hit and its offerings are tasting fantastic. Each bottle is a perfectly detailed example of a single vineyard wine. We promise each will offer even more complexity with time in the bottle.
The Bindi winery was established near the town of Gisbourne, Victoria in 1988 by Michael’s father Bill Dhillon. The family knew instantly the cool climate of the region would be perfect for Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. So, they got to planting vines. The first vines put in soil were Pinot Noir, and the wines from these vines is now called “Original Vineyard” Pinot Noir. The vineyard’s unique soil composition of quartz and volcanic topsoil give Bindi wines a distinct flavour. They’ve become so renowned, in 2005 the Original Vineyard Pinot Noir was acknowledged in the Langton’s Classification of Australian Wines.
We love a family legacy, and it’s our pleasure to have Bindi wines in store.
