April Selection
Variety- Sylvaner/Pecorino
Sylvaner: Sylvaner, a white wine grape variety, remains an understated gem in the world of viticulture. Finding the right white wine is often a balance of personal preference and exploration, and Sylvaner offers a refined yet overlooked experience.
Pecorino:Once believed to have disappeared from its native Italian homeland, Pecorino was rediscovered in the late 20th century, hidden among the ruins of an abandoned vineyard.

2023 Chalmers Pecorino, Heathcote
Their Pecorino is grown in their Heathcote vineyard in central Victoria, producing a confident and textural white wine with remarkable depth and structure.
2023 Barone di Valforte Pecorino, Abruzzo, Italy
Tenute Barone di Valforte has been owned by the Sorricchio di Valforte family since the 14th century.
The Old Vine Club
2023 Köfererhof Sylvaner, Alto Adige, Italy
Nestled in Alto Adige’s Valle Isarco subregion, Köfererhof is located near Novacella and Bressanone (Brixen in German, as this is Italy’s German-speaking region). Valle Isarco is a powerhouse for high-quality white wine, and the only place in Italy where world-class Kerner and Sylvaner are grown.
2024 Schmölzer & Brown ‘Schatz’ Sylvaner, King Valley
Notably, Schmolzer & Brown are among the very few producers of Sylvaner in Australia—a fact we’re especially grateful for. Their crisp, savoury Sylvaner from the Darling vineyard in the upper King Valley is a standout.

What You Need to Know
How It Works
To make sure customers are kept updated about our findings, every month we send them a two-pack of new wines to try. Both wines in the pack will be made from the same variety of grape but will be from very different parts of the world, allowing customers to compare and contrast their special tastes. To make the learning experience even more comprehensive and exciting, the pack will include informative tasting notes that explore both the grape and the wine.

We can ship around Australia & charge a flat $10 shipping fee. We also only ship when the weather suits. Nobody deserves cooked wine after all!!
