Take a look below to see what we have chosen for this month’s selection.
This club offers our best value wines from around the world and Australia, boasting a wide range of exciting options.
Celebrate some of the finest, critically-renowned producers from around the globe and see what new flavours they are able to concoct from our chosen variety.
Sémillon, much like Riesling, is a grape that wine insiders tend to appreciate much more than casual wine drinkers.
Originally from south-western France, Sémillon is often regarded as an unassuming, perhaps even unfashionable grape variety. That said, when it comes into its own it can produce wines of outstanding character with seemingly endless cellaring potential. The styles of Semillon range from botrytized sweet wines to dry whites.
Andrew Thomas is one of Hunter’s finest exponents thanks to his many years’ worth of experience in the area. He produces various Sémillons from throughout the Hunter Valley, with his famed Braemore vineyard considered one of the finest sites in the region.
Sémillon is the key variety used in some of the world’s most iconic dessert wines, especially from areas such as Sauternes in France’s Bordeaux wine region. Generally, the Sémillon is blended with a little Sauvignon Blanc, with both varieties offering unique characters.
Boekenhoutskloof is one of the most celebrated of all South African wineries. Created in 1776 and situated in a remote corner of the beautiful Franschoek Valley, the estate’s recent fame dates back only to 1993 when its new owners completely restored the vineyard.
Chateau Rieussec is one of the most famous Sauternes houses, with its vineyards bordering the much-famed Chateau d’Yquem. Their 2016 Carmes De Rieussec is rich and citrusy in the mouth, offering a zesty freshness that offsets its decadent fruit flavours, finishing on a lingering honeyed note.
To make sure customers are kept updated about our findings, every month we send them a two-pack of new wines to try. Both wines in the pack will be made from the same variety of grape but will be from very different parts of the world, allowing customers to compare and contrast their special tastes. To make the learning experience even more comprehensive and exciting, the pack will include informative tasting notes that explore both the grape and the wine.
As a company that is passionate about sourcing rare, delicious and affordable wines, we are always incredibly keen to share them with our customers as well as tell the story behind every bottle.
As an exclusive member of the Two of a Kind Wine Club, you are going to get to drink some awesome wines at a great price. Every month, you will get the same deal: same variety, two different wines.
