2023 Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey Chassagne Montrachet rouge 1er Cru Clos St Jean

$380.00

Pierre-Yves Colin founded his domaine in 2005 after working at his family estate, Domaine Marc Colin in Saint-Aubin. Alongside his wife, Caroline Morey, he has earned a reputation for crafting precise, mineral-driven White Burgundy and refined red Burgundy from some of the Côte d’Or’s most exceptional terroirs.

Today, the name “PYCM” is synonymous with quality — a mark instantly recognised by wine lovers, and a promise of the elegance and purity that awaits beneath those signature off-white wax capsules.

Critic Reviews
2023 is the first vintage in this historically very highly regarded vineyard of this wine from PY which is well reknowned for producing some remarkable reds. 40% whole bunch vinification. Pale in colour but very stylish on the nose, all the finesse one hopes for. Beautifully silky across the palate, but still with a couple of tannins at the end and good acidity, while the perfumed whole stretches out really well at the back. Drink from 2030-2040. Tasted Oct 2024.
