The Labet family from Rotalier, in the Sud Revermont area south of Lons-le-Saunier, has crafted thoughtful wines for generations. Alain Labet transformed the estate into an icon of low-intervention and organic practices, adhering to the Bourgogne tradition of topping up barrels. His eldest son, Julien, advanced this minimal intervention approach by certifying the old-vine vineyards as organic in 2010 and integrating animals into vineyard management. Together with his siblings, Charline, a trained oenologist, and Romain, a viticulturist, Julien is leading the next generation of Labet wines, continuing the family’s legacy of innovation and sustainability.
