A very deep, powerful, yet vibrant Chardonnay that needed a long time (30 months) to come around and get ready for bottling. The extremely low yields were minuscule, which helps explain the concentration, huge drive, freshness and length. The wine was fermented (both primary and full malolactic) in both 228-litre barrique casks and Wineglobe (glass). Aging was for 22 months in barrel and globe, and then a further 8 months in tank before bottling without fining or filtration. It has only recently been bottled so it needs some time. We’re expecting a long life for this tiny release.
