Critic Review

The nose offers apple, pear, peach and a strong note of anise. Then rich and dense, offering round flavors of licorice, yellow apple, and peach. The finish is fleshy, long and savory, lifted by a zingy lemony bite. Unlike Trimbach’s Riesling Reserve, I usually find this special selection wine to be very expressive right away. Made mainly with grapes grown on the marly-limestone soils of the Hagueneau lieu-dit (of both Bergheim and Ribeauvillé) and other plots in the Muhlforst and Rosacker (of Hunawihr) and the Hoffel (of Bergheim).’
