The Boschis family acquired E. Pira & Figli in 1981, setting Chiara Boschis on a path far removed from her economics training. Formerly of Barolo’s historic Giacomo Borgogno estate, where she honed her craft alongside her brothers, Chiara brought determination and vision to elevate Pira to its current standing.
Her approach balances Barolo’s inherent power with finesse and approachability—focusing on purity of aromatics, supple texture and elegance. Meticulous vineyard work, rigorous selection and precise, thoughtful winemaking underpin the style.
