Critic Reviews

The 2023 El Galayo Garnacha is a little darker than the clarete (but not much) and was produced exclusively with Garnacha grapes from old vines, combining origins and soils (slate and granite). It fermented in concrete and aged in large French oak vats for six months. It has a pale color from a very soft vinification, not quite following the tradition, which was more ripeness and maceration and darker wines. This is more modern, close to the Clarete. It’s very clean and has an expressive nose of ripe berries, with 14% alcohol, a low pH of 3.32 (a constant in 2023), 5.8 grams of acidity and very fine tannins. 70,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in May 2024.
