A generation ago, Lambrusco was a sweet wine, which seemed to be produced in industrial quantities, often for not the most discerning or educated of palates. This is now a long-distant (and not very treasured) memory. Thankfully, this Lini 910 Lambrusco, from the town of Correggio, in the Emilia-Romagna region, is a superb example of a modern-day artisanal wine. It emerges from a fourth-generation, family-owned winery, founded over a century ago by Oreste Lini and set in the heart of the Lambrusco production area. It is both dry and light, with a perfect hint of fizz; ready to accompany classic Italian foods such as lasagne, prosciutto and salami.
