How good is Champagne? Especially when they are the quality produced at Andre Jacquart. André Jacquart is based in Le Mesnil Sur Oger in the Côte des Blancs with holdings also in Vallée de la Marne and L’Aube. In total the domaine encompasses 24 ha of vines, a true grower Champagne. Owner Marie Doyard has introduced much more barrel-fermented wine into her base reserves, which has revved up the complexity. They now offer greater richness and roundness, balancing the driving acidity.
Their 1er cru Blanc de Blancs is a powerful style with intense minerality and great depth of flavour. Length and persistence similar to a Burgundian style Chardonnay. Brilliant value for a wine of this quality.
