In 2018, after more than a decade together, and with a collective 46 worldwide vintage experiences, Skye Salter and Charlie Sepplet established Paralian Wines to craft their own modern takes on proven Shiraz and Grenache varietals. The word means ‘someone who lives by the sea’ in their case, Port Willunga. Their site search took them to the northern reaches of McLaren Vale, where long-lost inland seas have left superb sandy growing pockets.
Their 2020 single vineyard Grenache features 1960-planted vines, with fruit sourced from The Marmont Vineyard, grown by the Cross Family at Blewitt Springs. We know you’ll marvel at this beautiful Australian wine; its glorious aromas suggesting both cranberry and pomegranate. It offers a fine, tight palate, backed by serious fruit freshness, spice and the finest compact tannins.
