2019 Pierre Boisson Bourgogne Blanc ‘Les Herbeaux’

First released on it’s as a separate bottling last year Boisson’s parcel of the Herbeaux climat was planted in 1961 we’re delighted to have this wine to offer again. The vineyard is just east of the Meursault village bordering Lafon’s ‘Clos de la Barre’. Classic clay-limestone soils. Bottled unfiltered after 18 months in oak, 10% being new. Bourgogne only in name, this would put many a Meursault in the shade. Has real gravitas on the palate, reminding me a lot of some of the earliest vintages of Boisson-Vadot Bourgognes I tasted – that stellar 2011 and the 2014 spring to mind. Quite sleek right across the palate this. Importer Notes.
