We all appreciate how superbly the state of Victoria displays terrific diversity across its winemaking regions. This is emphasised by the wide experience gained and put to great effect by talented young producers such as award-winning Chris Dilworth and Loique Allain. We are very happy to have their new 2019 releases from the Macedon Ranges now available for you to enjoy.
Their 2019 Chardonnay is produced from the cool climate Gordon Cope Williams vineyard in Macedon.
So salty, in the best sense, minerally some would say, but me, salty, saline, sea spray, love that, see this across a few wines from D&A and from this vineyard. Anyway, delicious white here, tightly wound, tightly packed, a greyhound spliff, limey, slight chicken stock character, cashew, scintillating and exceptionally long and poised. Dang, this tastes good. Drinks as pedigree, shows some funky bass-lines, a touch, just a touch un-composed in all elements, maybe green too, but you can see the follow through. How we do. 94+ Points The Wine Front
