2016 Savaterre Pinot Noir

Critic Review

It’s a fragrant, lighter, fresher rendition than we’ve seen. Plummy fruit with rose hip tea, sniffs of cranberry and a touch of smoky bergamot-like character in the bouquet. The palate has a juiciness but there’s a tightness too, tannins weave through the sluice of cherry-pomegranate flavours, there’s a light earthy savouriness and the fine finishes fresh and cool. It’s lovely drinking, all up. Such easy, satiny pleasure.
